Delaware City Election Postponed to June 30, 2020
Pursuant to Governor Carney’s sixth modification of the current State of Emergency relating to COVID-19, paragraph 4, all municipal elections are canceled through May 15, 2020. The City’s municipal election, therefore, will be held 45 days after the Governor’s prohibition of municipal elections has been lifted. If the State of Emergency declaration relating to municipal elections expires on May 15 as presently contemplated, the Delaware City election will be held on June 30, 2020.
